Congress is talking taxes…

Advocates – we need your help!

Congress is talking taxes…and we can turn this into an opportunity for child care! What: An in-depth conversation for advocates hosted by First Five Years Fund (FFYF), Child Care Aware of America (CCAoA), and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) about how the upcoming tax debate will need all of our voices to ensure we protect existing tax credits that support families and use this opportunity to expand credits that help more families afford child care.

When: Wednesday, January 29th at 3pm EST

Why: Families with young children are struggling to find and afford the child care they need. Right now, Congress has a prime opportunity to make changes to child care provisions in the U.S. tax code (which haven’t been updated in over 20 years!) that would help provide more young children with vital opportunities to learn and grow while also supporting parents by helping them keep more of what they earn to pay for child care.

Join us for an inside look at the upcoming tax debate; what you need to know about the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, (the only tax credit that specifically helps working parents offset the cost of child care); strategy on what comes next; and how you can help! And there will be plenty of time for Q&A at the end. Please join us!
